Memory Care Facility in WI

Back to Main Project Gallery

The facility has three buildings, with 20 beds in each building for a total population of 60 patients and approximately 55 staff members. There is a grease tank for the kitchen followed by two septic tanks in series, two effluent filters, and then a duplex lift pump station. The septic tank effluent is conveyed to an enhanced nitrogen removal system whereby two parallel lined subsurface flow wetland cells treat the water.  Air addition with process water recycle is employed to boost the nitrogen removal. The water further polished in two unlined subsurface flow wetlands tbefore discharge to groundwater.

Twenty residents moved in within 30 days.  Full capacity was reached within the first year.
